The latest news from the Society
The Society has arranged an additional talk over and above our usual season of twelve on Thursday 22nd March 2012 at 7:30pm (doors open 6:30pm) at Fakenham Parish Church.
The speaker will be Mr. Harry Bibring from the Holocaust Educational Trust who will be telling us his life story. More details can be found by clicking here.
The Society has arranged a day trip to Bletchley Park (home of the world war II code breakers) on Friday 20th April 2012
The programme for the day is:
- Depart Fakenham by coach at around 7:30am
- Tea/coffee on arrival at Bletchley Park
- Guided tour of the wartime buildings giving a detailed history of the site, with a break for a buffet lunch
- Tea/coffee and muffins before leaving at around 4:30pm
- 2 course meal on the way home
- Arrive back in Fakenham at around 9:00pm
The "all in" cost is £44 per person, including coach driver gratuity.
The trip is currently over subscribed and there is a waiting list for cancellations.
