What we can provide

For over 40 years now, the Society has arranged a fortnightly series of talks throughout the winter on a wide variety of topics.

Everybody is welcome at our meetings. We are a friendly crowd and during the evening there is time for socialising over a tea or coffee during a break. This advances one of the Society’s aims of promoting friendships and community spirit.

If you’re not already a member, come along to any meeting and try it out as a guest first. If you want to know more or would like to join, contact the Secretary or any Committee Member.

Membership for season - £15.00

Guests/Visitors – £4.00 / meeting

Tea/Coffee – 70p

Our meetings are held every other Thursday, from October to March and our forthcoming programme can be viewed here.

The venue for our meetings has space for many people to sit in comfort and the facilities include a pleasant bar where you can socialise before or after the talk.
